Hot Wax: The Doors, THE SOFT PARADE / AN AMERICAN PRAYER
Happy Friday, everybody, and welcome to another installment of “Hot Wax,” wherein we make sure you’re aware of the latest Rhino vinyl reissues that have suddenly become available for your purchasing enjoyment.
Today we’re pleased as punch to be able to tell you that we’ve just dropped two new 180-gram Doors LPs, including the 2019 remastered version of THE SOFT PARADE, which was released as part of the special edition package that hit stores last year. Yes, that’s right, if you didn’t want the whole kit and kaboodle included within that set, now you can get the LP all by its lonesome, sounding better than ever.
In addition, you can now also pick up a copy of AN AMERICAN PRAYER, the album that gave fans a chance to hear Jim Morrison reading some of his poetry over music provided by the surviving Doors. Released in 1978, it may be a for-fans-only LP, but if you here and reading this piece, then we’re just reasonably presuming that you’re in that particular demographic, so…you’re welcome!
